
LOCATION
Sabah Museum is located around 3 km from the central business district of Kota Kinabalu, and is a 15 minute drive northeast from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), the gateway to Borneo.
Located on the west coast of Sabah, KKIA is the second busiest airport in Malaysia, and receives direct international flights from Brunei Darussalam, Manila, Perth, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Busan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Guangzou, Hangzou, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Taipei, as well as local flights from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia’s capital), Penang, Johor Baru, Kota Bharu, Kudat, Lahad Datu, Sandakan, Tawau, Kuching, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang, Sibu, and Labuan.

Transportation
The taxi fare from KKIA to the Kota Kinabalu CBD is around RM 30 during the day and up to RM 45 at night. Taxis, grab-cabs, uber and local buses are available in the city. Daily bus transportation will be arranged for participants from the central locations in the city centre to the Museum.
